The new City Hall is the focal point for one of the fastest growing cities in Idaho: Post Falls. This 42,000 square foot facility is located in the heart of the city on 4.3 acres. The project was designed to combine all the city’s departments under one roof, including a state of the art council chambers that has seating for 125 people and six meeting rooms. In the early stages of design, the city talked about pursuing the LEED Gold Certification, but they decided to pursue a high performance energy efficient building instead. Several of the high performance features you will find in a LEED Certified building are incorporated into this building such as day lighting, energy efficient heat pump system, low VOC materials, native plants and materials, heat reflective roof, and high performance glass and lighting controls.
