The project is set on 1.4 acres and was designed to provide accessible and imaginative learn-and-play activities for a variety of ages and abilities. The park is built around the theme of “Exploring Eastern Washington”. The themed playground includes an oversized pumpkin and chair, a bear den complete with a bear sleeping inside, drums and musical chimes, brightly colored trout, an herb garden, a water play area, slides, swings, and a custom rock slide with a basalt rock climbing wall. Kids and parents can also utilize the large picnic shelters and outdoor classroom area. The entire site is surrounded by decorative concrete slabs with sandblasted images and an array of colored concrete. One of the most vibrant aspects of the park are the areas with rubber surfacing, which include bright colors and integral designs that tie into the themes of the playground.
